This privacy policy explains how the StowPin mobile app handles data.

Data Stored on the Device

The app stores item names, spaces, exact location descriptions, tags, notes, favorites, app settings, and user-selected photos in an app-specific directory on the device. This data is not sent to the app's own server. The app does not require account creation.

Android cloud backup and automatic device-to-device data transfer are disabled by the app.

Photos and Camera

Camera permission is only used when the user chooses to add a photo to an item. Photos selected from the gallery or taken with the camera are copied to the app's dedicated folder on the device to display the record. Photos are not shared for advertising purposes.

Advertisements

The free version may display Google AdMob banner ads. Depending on the region, user privacy choices, and Google policies, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may process IP addresses, user product interactions, diagnostic information, and device or account identifiers for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, and security purposes. This data is encrypted in transit using TLS.

In required regions, the app asks for your privacy choices via the Google User Messaging Platform before requesting ads. When applicable, the user can reopen this selection from the app's settings screen.

In-App Purchases

Pro purchases in the Android version are processed by Google Play. In the initial iOS release, in-app purchases are not offered, and all features are available for free. If the Pro option is offered in a future iOS update, payments will be processed by the Apple App Store. The app does not collect card numbers or bank information.

JSON Export

An iOS user or an Android Pro user can export their records as a JSON file if desired. Sharing only occurs through a user-initiated action. Photo file paths within the device are not included in the shared JSON file.

Data Deletion

The user can delete item records, photos, and old JSON exports on the device using the Settings > Delete all data option within the app. When the app is uninstalled, the data kept in the app-specific directory is also deleted by Android.

Changes

This policy may be updated when the app's behavior changes. The current version must always be published at a publicly accessible web address.
