The app stores item names, areas, exact location descriptions, tags, notes, favorites, app settings and photos selected by the user in the app-specific area on the device. This data is not sent to the app's own server. The app does not require users to create an account.
Android cloud backup and automatic device-to-device data transfer are disabled by the app.
Camera permission is used only when the user chooses to add a photo to an item. A photo selected from the gallery or taken with the camera is copied to the app's private folder on the device so the item record can be displayed. Photos are not shared for advertising purposes.
The free version may show Google AdMob banner ads. Depending on region, user privacy choices and Google policies, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may process IP address, user product interactions, diagnostic information and device or account identifiers for ad serving, measurement, fraud prevention and security purposes. This data is encrypted in transit using TLS.
In required regions, the app asks for the user's privacy choice through Google User Messaging Platform before requesting ads. When required, the user can reopen this choice from the app's settings screen.
Information about how Google processes data is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
Pro purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. The app does not collect card numbers or banking information. The app uses the relevant store's purchase infrastructure to restore the purchased Pro entitlement.
If a Pro user chooses to export their records as a JSON file, sharing happens only through an action started by the user. Photo file paths inside the device are not shared in the JSON file.
The user can delete item records, photos and old JSON exports from the device using Settings > Delete all data in the app. When the app is uninstalled, data kept in the app-specific area is also deleted by Android.
More details are available on the StowPin Data Deletion page.
This policy may be updated when app behavior changes. The current version should always be published at a public web address.
